Frankincense

I often use Frankincense when I’m feeling stressed, especially during times of general anxiety when I’m just nervous about everything and anything. For many years I have struggled with panic attacks, and this wonderful plant fills the air with an earthy, grounding fragrance which is truly helpful.

It also has astringent properties, which are excellent for clearing the respiratory system during a cold or sinus infection, and has pain relieving properties, as well.

What I didn’t know, until recently, is that it can help to regenerate tissue, which makes it effective for decreasing fine lines and wrinkles and for healing scars and wounds.

I have found that Frankincense works well with Jasmine, Myrrh, Rose, Sandalwood, Ylang-ylang, Geranium, Lavender, and Clary Sage, Orange, Lemon, Fir, and Pine. You may find other combinations which work well for you. Amrita has a great selection of organic and wildcrafted essential oils.
